Fools Rush In (1997): After a one night stand with Alex, Isabel realizes that she is pregnant and they decide to get married. However, along with the marriage comes compromise of one’s own cultural traditions. Starring Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek.

Why it made our list: Perry and Hayek prove that opposites do in fact attract in this hilarious rom-com.

Like Crazy (2011): A British college student falls for an American student, only to be separated from him when she’s banned from the U.S. after overstaying her visa. Starring Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Why it made our list: Get your tissues ready; to say Like Crazy will tug at your emotions is an understatement.

My Girl (1991): A young girl, on the threshold of her teen years, finds her life turning upside down when she is accompanied by an unlikely friend. Starring Anna Chlumsky and Macaulay Culkin.

Why it made our list: Chlumsky and Culkin’s talent shine through in this coming of age drama.

Only You (1994): Schoolteacher Faith Corvatch believes she is destined to spend her life with a man named “Damon Bradley.” Just days before she is to marry a podiatrist she may not love, she receives a phone call from a friend of her fiance’s named, you guessed it, Damon Bradley. Starring Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

Why it made our list: With equal parts romance and comedy, the hilarious Only You makes for an enjoyable night in.

The Romantics (2010): Seven close friends reunite for the wedding of their friends. Problems arise because the bride and the maid of honor have had a long rivalry over the groom. Starring Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin, and Josh Duhamel.

Why it made our list: It’s messy, complicated and has an all-star cast – a combination that makes The Romantics well worth a watch.

The Thing Called Love (1993): A group of newcomers to the country music business seek love and stardom. Starring River Phoenix and Samantha Mathis.

Why it made our list: Come for the movie, but stay for the delightful soundtrack.

What To Expect When You’re Expecting (2012): Follows the lives of five interconnected couples as they experience the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and realize that no matter what you plan for, life does not always deliver what is expected. Starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Rock.

Why it made our list: Light-hearted, sentimental, and downright hilarious are three ways to accurately describe What To Expect When You’re Expecting.

Yours, Mine, And Ours (2005): A widowed Coast Guard Admiral and a widow handbag designer fall in love and marry, much to the dismay of her 10 and his 8 children. Starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo.

Why it made our list: This remake more than lives up to the 1968 original starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda.
