Every week, we publish a list of free movies to watch on The Roku Channel. This week, we've highlighted a number of movies that are making their debut on the channel in April.

FEATURED TITLES COMING TO THE ROKU CHANNEL IN APRIL:

The Karate Kid (1984): A martial arts master agrees to teach karate to a bullied teenager. Starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita.

Hotel Rwanda (2004): Paul Rusesabagina was a hotel manager who housed over a thousand Tutsi refugees during their struggle against the Hutu militia in Rwanda. Starring Don Cheadle and Sophie Okenedo.

First Sunday (2008): Petty thieves Durell and LeeJohn  face a big problem: The two must come up with $17,000 in one week, or Durell will no longer be able to see his son. The goofy scoundrels embark on a haphazard plan to rob the neighborhood church, but they find the mission trickier than expected. Starring Ice Cube and Katt Williams.

The Social Network (2010): Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, but is later sued by two brothers who claimed he stole their idea, and the co-founder who was later squeezed out of the business. Starring Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield.

50/50 (2011): Inspired by a true story, a comedy centered on a 27-year-old guy who learns of his cancer diagnosis, and his subsequent struggle to beat the disease. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen.

Bull Durham (1988): A fan who has an affair with one minor-league baseball player each season meets an up-and-coming pitcher and the experienced catcher assigned to him. Starring Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon.

Eight Millimeter (1999): A private investigator is hired to discover if a “snuff film” is authentic or not. Starring Nicolas Cage and Joaquin Phoenix.

Gang Related (1997): After murdering an undercover DEA agent, two corrupt cops scramble to cover up what they’ve done. Starring Jim Belushi and Tupac Shakur.

Gods and Monsters (1998): The last days of Frankenstein (1931) Director James Whale are explored. Starring Ian McKellen and Brendan Fraser.

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People (2008): A British writer struggles to fit in at a high-profile magazine in New York City. Starring Simon Pegg and Kristen Dunst.

In the Mix (2005): A successful DJ manages to rescue a powerful mobster one night. In order to repay him, the mobster gives him the task of protecting his daughter. Starring Usher Raymond and Chazz Palminteri.

Little Man Tate (1991): When it is discovered that Fred is a genius, his mom Dede is determined to ensure that Fred has all the opportunities that he needs, and that he is not taken advantage of by people who forget that his extremely powerful intellect is harbored in the body and emotions of a child. Starring Jodie Foster and Adam Hann-Byrd.

Music Within (2007): The true story of Richard Pimentel, a brilliant public speaker with a troubled past, who returns from Vietnam severely hearing -impaired and finds a new purpose in his landmark efforts on the behalf of Americans with disabilities. Starring Ron Livingston and Melissa George.

Overboard (1987): A cruel but beautiful heiress mocks and cheats over a hired carpenter. When she gets amnesia after an accident, he decides to introduce her to regular life by convincing her they’re husband and wife. Starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

Paper Heart (2009): Charlyne Yi embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn’t fully understand: Love. Starring Charlyne Yi and Michael Cera.

Real Genius (1985): Teenage geniuses deal with their abilities while developing a high-powered laser for a university project. When their professor intends to turn their work into a military weapon, they decide to ruin his plans. Starring Val Kilmer and  Gabriel Jarret.

Reservoir Dogs (1992): After a simple jewelry heist goes terribly wrong, the surviving criminals begin to suspect that one of them is a police informant. Starring Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth.

Saved! (2004): When a girl attending a Christian high school becomes pregnant, she finds herself ostracized and demonized, as all of her former friends turn on her. Starring Jena Malone and Mandy Moore.

Sunlight Jr (2013): A Florida couple deals with an unexpected pregnancy while holding minimum wage jobs. Starring Naomi Watts and Matt Dillon.

The Rules of Attraction (2002): The incredibly spoiled and overprivileged students of Camden College are a backdrop for an unusual love triangle between a drug dealer, a virgin and a bisexual classmate. Starring James Van Der Beek and Ian Somerhalder.

The Two Jakes (1990): The sequel to Chinatown (1974) finds J.J. “Jake” Gittes investigating adultery and murder, and the money that comes from oil. Starring Jack Nicholson and Harvey Keitel.

Thelma and Louise (1991): Two best friends set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two girls escape for the crimes they committed. Starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis.

True Crime (1999): Can an over-the-hill journalist uncover the evidence that can prove a death row inmate’s innocence just hours before his execution? Starring Clint Eastwood and Isaiah Washington.

You and I (2011): Two teenage girls, Janie who is American and Lana who is Russian, fall in love after meeting at a t.A.T.u concert and are swept into a dangerous world of obsession, drug abuse and murder. Starring Mischa Barton and Shantel VanSanten.

A League of Their Own (1992): Two sisters join the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amidst their own growing rivalry. Starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis.

Why it made our list: Watching this classic will definitely get you in the mood for baseball season!

Zookeeper (2011): A group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zoo keeper find love — without opting to leave his current job for something more illustrious. Starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson.

Why it made our list: Zookeeper is a feel-good flick with plenty of laughs that the whole family can enjoy.

Hachi (2009): A college professor’s bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. Starring Richard Gere and Joan Allen.

Why it made our list: We dare you not to cry in this emotional, touching, beautiful tale about the connection between a man and his dog.

Annie (2014): A foster kid, who lives with her mean foster mom, sees her life change when business tycoon and New York City mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Starring Quevenzhané Wallis, Cameron Diaz, and Jamie Foxx.

Why it made our list: This remake of the original does not disappoint (especially the music!).

ALF (TV series, 1986-1990): A furry alien wiseguy comes to live with the Tanner family after crashing into their garage. Starring Mihaly “Michu” Mezaros and Paul Fusco.

Why it made our list: To this day, one of the more memorable TV series of the 80s is still full of laughs.

MLB games are broadcast across a variety of channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, FOX, FS1, TBS, MLB Network and regional networks including NBC Sports and Fox Sports. View the guide below to learn how to stream MLB games with or without cable.

Samsung customers should have an entertaining summer ahead of them! The Roku Channel, our popular ad-supported app that brings you Hollywood hit movies and TV for free, is expected to be available on select Samsung smart TVs this summer.

Launched late last year, The Roku Channel is already a top 20 channel on the Roku platform and has been a tremendous success giving our customers the free entertainment they desire. It offers an ever-changing selection of quality films, TV shows and more (see what's streaming this month!). Also focused on delivering a great advertising experience, The Roku Channel features approximately half the advertising per programming hour as compared to traditional linear TV.

Roku has always been a leader in offering free entertainment options for our customers, and we're excited to extend The Roku Channel to select Samsung TV customers. Stay tuned for more updates.
