Posted: 24 Sep 2018 06:01 AM PDT

Today we're excited to tell you about our lowest priced 4K + HDR streaming players ever, the Roku Premiere and the Roku Premiere+. There will be tens of millions of 4K TVs sold this year, so if you just bought a 4K TV or if you're thinking about it, these players are an easy way to give your TV the best picture quality it can handle at a fantastic price.

We're also updating our top-of-the-line streaming player, the Roku Ultra and we're unveiling the latest version of our operating system, Roku OS 9 (click here to learn more).

The new Roku Premiere and Roku Premiere+ are the easiest and most affordable way to stream outstanding picture quality.

The Roku Premiere is the simple way to start streaming in HD, 4K or 4K HDR. At just $39.99 MSRP, it's our lowest priced 4K streamer ever.

It's small in price and in size. The low profile form factor is tiny enough to tuck underneath or beside your TV but it's big on the inside with a powerful quad-core processor and compatibility with 11bgn wireless.

Like all of our players, we include an easy-to-use remote with channel shortcut buttons – we even include the batteries. And to help you get set up and streaming right away, the Roku Premiere also includes a Premium high-speed HDMI cable.

The Roku Premiere+, a Walmart exclusive, makes it easy to turn your streaming up a notch at $49.99 MSRP. It includes everything Roku Premiere offers plus a voice remote that has power and volume buttons for your TV.

Improved Roku Ultra

At just $99.99 MSRP, Roku's most powerful and feature-packed player gets – and sounds – even better than before. It offers everything a streamer could want.

This player is the ultimate in connectivity, offering both Ethernet 10/100 and 802.11ac dual-band wireless. The enhanced remote has TV power and volume buttons, gaming buttons, and a headphone jack for private listening.

And that brings us to change for this fall…we will now be including premium JBL headphones which are valued at $39.95! One other fun update for the Roku Ultra is the addition of two new remote finder sounds: SportsCenter's Da-Da-Da from ESPN and HBO's Game of Thrones theme song.

Availability

The Roku Premiere is available for pre-order at Roku.com beginning today and, along with the Roku Ultra, will be available at all major retailers beginning in early October. The Roku Premiere+ will be available exclusively at Walmart and Walmart.com in early October.

Happy Streaming!
