MOVIES AVAILABLE FOR FREE ON THE ROKU CHANNEL:

Panic Room (2002): A divorced woman and her diabetic daughter take refuge in their newly-purchased house’s safe room, when three men break-in, searching for a missing fortune. Starring Jodie Foster and Kristen Stewart.

Why it made our list: This film is so packed with suspense that you might break a sweat while watching it.

Primal Fear (1996): An altar boy is accused of murdering a priest, and the truth is buried several layers deep. Starring Richard Gere and Edward Norton.

Why it made our list: If nothing else, watch this for Edward Norton’s brilliant performance, which by the way was his first in a feature film.

Traitor (2008): When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn. Starring Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce.

Why it made our list: With strong headliners in Cheadle and Pearce, Traitor is absolutely packed to the brim with nonstop action.

Warrior (2011): The youngest son of an alcoholic former boxer returns home, where he's trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament – a path that puts the fighter on a collision course with his estranged, older brother. Starring Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte.

Why it made our list: This powerful, moving film is far more than just another fight movie.

TV SHOWS AVAILABLE FOR FREE ON THE ROKU CHANNEL:

3rd Rock From The Sun (1996-2001): A group of aliens are sent to Earth, disguised as a human family, to experience and report life on the 3rd planet from the sun. Starring John Lithgow and Jane Curtin.

Why it made our list: It’s easily one of the funnier and memorable shows of the 90s era.

Grace Under Fire (1993-1998): Grace is a recovering alcoholic, now divorced from an abusive husband, struggling to bring up three children on her own. Starring Brett Butler and Casey Sander.

Why it made our list: Grace Under Fire is clever, well-written, and downright hilarious.

Grounded For Life (2001-2005): Thirty-something Irish Catholic couple Sean and Claudia deal with their three children as well as Sean’s judgmental father and his carefree brother. Starring Donal Logue and Megyn Price.

Why it made our list: It’s a funny, clean, family-friendly show that produces plenty of laughs – and that’s hard to find these days.
