Foxcatcher (2014): U.S. Olympic wrestling champions and brothers Mark Schultz and Dave Schultz join “Team Foxcatcher”, led by eccentric multi-millionaire John du Pont, as they train for the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, but John’s self-destructive behavior threatens to consume them all. Starring Steve Carell and Channing Tatum.

Fun fact: According to Director Bennett Miller’s instructions, Steve Carell was not permitted to joke between takes and was asked not to socialize with co-stars after work.

The Last Samurai (2003): An American military advisor embraces the Samurai culture he was hired to destroy after he is captured in battle. Starring Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe.

Fun fact: Tom Cruise prepared for this film for nearly two years by taking swordplay and Japanese language lessons.

Grumpy Old Men (1993): A lifelong feud between two neighbors since childhood only gets worse when a new female neighbor moves across the street. Starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau.

Fun fact: This was the 6th out of 10 movies that friends Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau starred in together.

Dirty Harry (1971): When a mad man calling himself ‘the Scorpio Killer’ menaces the city, tough as nails San Francisco Police Inspector Harry Callahan is assigned to track down and ferret out the crazed psychopath. Starring Clint Eastwood and Andrew Robinson.

Fun fact: The famous Dirty Harry quote is actually often misquoted as “Do you feel lucky, punk?”, while the correct quote is “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

Gremlins (1984): A boy inadvertently breaks three important rules concerning his new pet and unleashes a horde of malevolently mischievous monsters on a small town. Starring Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates.

Fun fact: This film along with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom are largely credited with inspiring the creation of the PG-13 rating – they were too violent for PG, but not quite violent enough for an R rating.

Radio (2003): The story of a high school coach and the developmentally challenged man who he took under his wing. Starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ed Harris.

Fun fact: In 2016, James “Radio” Kennedy was inducted into the TL Hanna High School Hall of Fame.

What a Girl Wants (2003): An American teenager learns that her father is a wealthy British politician running for office. Although she is eager to find him, she realizes it could cause a scandal and cost him the election. Starring Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth.

Fun fact: Both Kelly Preston and Oliver James did all of their own singing for this film.
