Every week, we publish a list of free movies to watch on The Roku Channel. This week’s list is bursting with talent, with appearances from Will Ferrell, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, and Sylvester Stallone just to name a few.

Elf (2003): After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity. Starring Will Ferrell and James Caan.

Fun fact: Will Ferrell reportedly turned down $29M to star in Elf 2 in 2013.

Escape Plan (2013): When a structural-security authority finds himself set up and incarcerated in the world’s most secret and secure prison, he has to use his skills to escape with help from the inside. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Available only from 6/8 – 6/15.

Fun fact: This was the third prison-themed movie for Stallone – after Victory (1982) and Lock Up (1989).

Fly Away Home (1996): A father and daughter decide to attempt to lead a flock of orphaned Canada Geese south by air. Starring Jeff Daniels and Anna Paquin.

Fun fact: In the movie, Amy (Anna Paquin) was raised in New Zealand and then moved to Canada. In real life, Anna Paquin was born in Canada and raised in New Zealand.

I Spy (2002): A professional athlete has to help a U.S. government agent recover a missing jet. Starring Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson.

Fun fact: Initially, Owen Wilson claimed to be nervous about improvising with comedy legend Eddie Murphy, but got more comfortable as filming went on.

The Addams Family (1991): Con artists plan to fleece an eccentric family using an accomplice who claims to be their long-lost uncle. Starring Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia.

Fun fact: To this day, Wednesday Addams is one of Christina Ricci’s favorite characters she’s ever played.

The Manchurian Candidate (2004): In the midst of the Gulf War, soldiers are kidnapped and brainwashed for sinister purposes. Starring Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, and Liev Schreiber.

Fun fact: The cast included four Academy Award winners: Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Jon Voight, and Kenneth Utt.

What A Girl Wants (2003): An American teenager learns that her father is a wealthy British politician running for office. Although she is eager to find him, she realizes it could cause a scandal and cost him the election. Starring Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth.

Fun fact: Kelly Preston and Oliver James did all of their own singing in the movie.

1. Vida (Season 1) | STARZ

A drama series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn’t be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity.

2. Cobra Kai (Season 1) | YouTube Red via YouTube TV

Set thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, the series focuses on Johnny Lawrence reopening the Cobra Kai dojo, which causes his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso to be reignited.

3. 13 Reasons Why (Season 2) | Netflix

Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the start of our characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah’s death concealed. A series of ominous polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up.

4. Westworld (Season 2) | HBO NOW

A sci-fi drama set in an Old West theme park where guests interact with automatons in scenarios that are developed, overseen and scripted by the park’s creative, security and quality assurance departments. Based on the 1973 feature film directorial debut by Michael Crichton.

5. Pose (Season 1) | FOX NOW

Set in the 1980s, Pose explores the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene. Evan Peters and Kate Mara play New Jersey couple “Stan” and “Patty,” who get sucked into the glamour and intrigue of New York City in the 1980s. 6. Succession (Season 1) | HBO NOW

With the updated DIRECTV NOW channel, you'll enjoy things like:

  • True Cloud DVR (BETA) – Twenty hours of free recording is currently available during the beta testing of the Cloud DVR feature. If you aren't familiar with a cloud DVR, it makes it easy to record your favorite entertainment and watch it virtually anytime you want for up to 30 days. You can record an entire series or just one episode on almost all our channels. Fast forward and rewind at will. We're working on rolling out more capacity options and features later this summer—which will let you keep more on your Cloud DVR for longer. You'll be able to record up to 100 hours and keep it stored up to 90 days, for $10 per month.
  • New Look – Find your most-watched channels and favorite programs front and center. You can even view your current stream while browsing for something that you might want to watch next.
  • Expanded On Demand Content – Depending on your subscription choices, get access to more than 25,000 titles on DIRECTV NOW. New episodes on select channels will be available on-demand after airing, so you don't have to worry about setting up a recording prior.
  • Up to Three Streams at Once – Enjoy access to up to three simultaneous different streams per account. Don't want to watch cartoons with the kids? Sick of your spouse's love for reality TV? You can add a third stream for $5 per month.
